Starting the Process
Please use our online application. All candidates for iboga ceremony must provide an EKG early on in the process to make certain there’s no simple exclusion from eligibility. We will also talk to you on the phone, and sometimes will request a video interview over Skype. When the applicant is approved and we move towards a reservation, we require a deposit. At that point you'll be sent an intake packet to print out. We can be reached by email as well, email IbogaLife. The Program Initiations at IbogaLife take 7- 9 days. After your ceremonies, we'll help you refresh and integrate by providing yoga instruction, half-day outings, beach visits, and much refuge in the surrounding forest. Some activities may not be possible for you; recuperation time varies from person to person. We will also have unscheduled visits from other plant medicine specialists and shamans. It is our overriding intention to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during your stay with us. The Village We are constantly striving toward self-sufficiency and sustainability within our local environment. We habitually visit the forest and her trees, creatures and waters. But we live in a Bwiti village, with the Temple at its heart. All visitors must feel free to enter the Temple when they wish. Shoes must be removed before entering the temple. It is respectful to spin in full revolution while entering the Temple. One enters the Temple only through the door on the right. One should announce onesself to those already in the Temple--- "Bwekaye." During ceremonies, there are a few more important rules: we only walk counter-clockwise around the Temple if there is a ceremonial object or mat or people in the center. The Temple may be segregated by sex during some ceremonies. The participation in call and response chants is strongly encouraged, no matter if one doesn't know the words. "Elders" instructions and the coachings of others need to be observed. Anyone partaking iboga in any amount must have The Wood administered by a designated "Elder."
